About gogoout: a Chinese-language car rental comparison platform

This section only summarises what gogoout says about itself on its own homepage.

gogoout describes itself as an all-Chinese car rental comparison platform where you can compare multiple local rental companies in Taiwan, Japan and Korea in one place and book pick-up and return at stations, airports or city locations. The features it lists include transparent pricing, live Chinese-language customer support, reviews from real renters, and free cancellation within a time limit on certain plans. Besides the website, the homepage also offers an app download.

Vehicles, prices and cancellation terms vary by plan. Check gogoout's site for the current details; we are not repeating numbers here.

What this brand uses

This is the only part of the article that covers the relationship between gogoout and FRIDAI, and the table below is all of it.

"Type of work" is described at the product level: FRIDAI Social works on comments under posts, and FRIDAI Chat works on one-to-one message support, with website chat as one of the channels it supports.

Anything not in the table is not in this article: plan tier, cost, message volume, rule content, conversation content, or any before-and-after comparison. For how other brands set things up, see the FRIDAI customer stories roundup.

Why this kind of business sets it up this way

This section is our own view of travel and car rental platforms as a type of business. It is reasoning, not something gogoout told us.

Comments are public, so one reply is read by many

Travel topics start conversations easily on Threads: someone asks about a self-drive route, someone else asks what you need to rent a car. A brand's reply under its own post is read by the person who asked and by everyone who scrolls past later. That makes comment engagement a good fit for answers that help many people at once, such as where to check plan details or how to choose a pick-up location.

Anything tied to an individual booking does not belong in a comment thread. Order numbers, phone numbers and ID documents should never appear in public; those questions should be guided to a one-to-one channel.

Website visitors are closest to booking

People who open a rental comparison site usually already have dates and a location. What stops them is usually something specific: can this plan be cancelled, what do I need to bring at pick-up, can I return the car somewhere else. The job of website chat is to explain the rule on the spot, and to hand over to a person immediately when it cannot.

Platform businesses have one more trait: there is more than one set of rules. Conditions may differ by rental company, country and plan. An AI can only answer well if you have organised which condition lives on which page; otherwise, the more eager it is, the higher the risk. An instant wrong answer about cancellation is just a faster way to create a complaint.

Different products for comments and one-to-one, because the work is different

Our view: public comments need a steady tone, no over-promising and a clear pointer when the conversation should move. One-to-one support needs to find the rule, ask for missing details and hand over when it should. The rules are written differently, so it is easier to manage them separately. That is also why FRIDAI splits Social and Chat into two products.

If you also run LINE (the messaging app most Taiwanese customers use) or Instagram DMs, read the omnichannel customer service guide first and put the channels in order rather than opening everything at once.

How similar businesses can set it up

This is a general checklist for travel, car rental and accommodation platforms. It is not gogoout's internal setup.

Step 1: write down what the AI will not answer

Most people start with what the AI should answer. We suggest the reverse: list what it will not answer. Refund amounts for a specific booking, liability in an accident, the outcome of an insurance claim, any promotion not yet announced. Write these as clear boundaries so the AI says a specialist will follow up instead of guessing.

Step 2: point comments to the right place

Comment replies should be public information plus a next step. Here is a general pattern to adapt to your own brand voice. Gloss: "Thanks for asking. Cancellation and insurance terms differ by plan, so please check the plan page. If you have already booked and need to change your trip, contact us through website support with your order details, and please do not post personal data in the comments."

If you want a comment to trigger an automatic DM, FRIDAI's product page states that the same social account needs both Social and Chat. Note also that the Threads DM plan is currently yearly billing only with no trial, so factor that in.

Step 3: start website chat with the ten most-asked questions

You do not need full coverage on day one. Pick the questions that come up most and whose answers do not depend on the person, put them into the knowledge content and test them internally. FRIDAI Chat can scan websites, URLs and documents to build knowledge content, but someone still needs to review what was scanned, and expired campaign pages in particular should be removed.

What to leave to humans

The product page says FRIDAI includes human handoff, sensitive-reply review and manual intervention, and that the AI stands by without interrupting once a person takes over. The tool has those features; deciding when to hand over is your job. For travel and car rental, this chart is a general starting point.

What this article does not cover

You may have expected "reply time cut by X" or "support workload down Y percent". There is none of that here, for three reasons.

First, FRIDAI does not have results numbers it can publish, and we did not interview gogoout, so there are no quotes and we do not speak for the brand. Second, support outcomes depend heavily on a brand's traffic, season and rule quality; someone else's number tells you almost nothing about yours. Third, we would rather leave a paragraph out than print a percentage with no source.

The practical approach is to test it yourself. According to FRIDAI's published plan information, a US$1 verification fee (NT$30 with PAYUNi or JKO Pay, two Taiwanese payment services) starts a 30-day trial with 100 AI replies in the simplified dashboard. When the 30 days end or the allowance runs out, it converts automatically to the plan you chose and billing starts, so cancel before then if you do not want to continue. One trial per service per email address.

During the trial, look at three things only: whether the AI got any rule wrong, whether the cases that should go to a person did, and whether a colleague taking over can follow the earlier conversation. Once those three pass, start thinking about volume.

FAQ

Which FRIDAI products does gogoout use?

According to what FRIDAI can share publicly, gogoout has used FRIDAI Social for comment engagement on Threads since late 2025 and FRIDAI Chat as website chat since mid-2026. Plan tier and cost are not public.

Does this article include results numbers from gogoout?

No. FRIDAI has no results numbers it can publish and did not interview the brand, so this article only covers channel facts and general advice for similar businesses. The most reliable way to judge is to test with your own support questions.

Can an AI get cancellation rules wrong for a rental or travel platform?

It can, especially when rules differ by plan and the knowledge content does not separate them. Have the AI point to the official rule page, avoid ruling on individual bookings, and set refunds and date changes to hand over to a person.

Are Threads comment engagement and Threads DMs the same plan?

No. Comment engagement belongs to FRIDAI Social and DMs belong to FRIDAI Chat. According to FRIDAI's published information, the Threads DM plan is yearly billing only with no trial, and comment-to-DM needs both products on the same account.

How much does it cost to try?

According to FRIDAI's published plan information, the trial is a US$1 verification fee, or NT$30 with PAYUNi or JKO Pay, for 30 days and 100 AI replies. It converts to your chosen plan when it ends or the allowance runs out, so cancel beforehand if you do not want to continue.

Does this setup suit a small team with no dedicated support staff?

Yes, if you do it in order. Start with the one channel where questions concentrate, write down what will not be answered and when to hand over, then consider a second channel. Opening too many at once leaves people unable to keep up with the handoffs.

How FRIDAI can help

If you run a travel, car rental or accommodation platform, start with one channel: public comments go to FRIDAI Social, one-to-one questions go to FRIDAI Chat, and date changes, refunds and accidents stay with people. Use the trial to test your own ten most common questions before deciding whether to expand.
