The verdict up front: which to try first

People who search for a "Super 8 review" usually want to ask whether it suits them. Reviews vary from team to team, so FRIDAI Editorial does not hand out scores on anyone's behalf. We only line up what the vendor states against your situation.

This is not a scoreboard. Change the list size, the headcount or the job to be done, and the answer changes. Taiwan brands of the same type often shortlist Omnichat too, so compare with FRIDAI vs Omnichat. If you only want to compare AI customer service on LINE, see LINE AI customer service tools.

How Super 8's products are divided today

If you heard of Super 8 a few years ago, opening no8.io now may give you pause, because there are more product names. The company is SUPER 8 Studio, which describes itself as coming from Taiwan with branch offices in Tokyo and Hong Kong.

An announcement in the official help centre from April 2025 explains that the original platform was split into two product lines: InsightArk focuses on social CRM and customer data insight, MessageHero focuses on building and deploying AI agents, and users can switch between them at the top left of the platform. The same announcement says the former S-point was renamed AI points and that existing users can continue on their original plans.

Today's website home page additionally lists ORRA (a recruitment platform for AI agent digital employees), Intelligence Pack, an add-on for InsightArk, and SUPER 8 MAX, which can be deployed in an enterprise's own data centre. This article concentrates on InsightArk and MessageHero, the two most often compared with FRIDAI.

FRIDAI, for its part, is three products. Chat handles DM customer service on LINE, Instagram, Facebook, Threads and more: you write AI rules in natural language, add a knowledge notebook, and hand off to a person when needed. Social handles automatic comment replies, comment-to-DM and social patrol. Post handles automated social posting.

Social CRM and LINE marketing: InsightArk is the fuller option

We will say this one directly: if your priority is managing a LINE list, InsightArk's official feature list is a closer match than FRIDAI.

The capabilities listed on the official InsightArk page include unified management of one-to-one conversations and bulk sends, automatic tagging by source and behaviour, segmented broadcasts, customisable automated journeys, chatbot templates, game modules and QR tracking. The pricing page also writes the number of chatbots, rich menus and marketing automation journeys into each plan's allowance.

FRIDAI's plans include contact tags and customer records, but FRIDAI does not position itself as a LINE marketing CRM. If your main work each month is cutting segments, scheduling broadcasts and reading journey performance, look at InsightArk first.

AI customer service: FRIDAI Chat and MessageHero

The official MessageHero page states that it supports LINE, Messenger, Instagram, Live Chat and WhatsApp, that you can upload files or link a website as the knowledge base, that the agent's style, tone and trigger conditions are set without code, and that you can choose between different AI models. The page also mentions "message fencing", which limits answers to the company's knowledge scope; when the agent cannot answer, the customer can switch to a human.

FRIDAI Chat has you write AI rules in natural language, add brand content to a knowledge notebook, and set which situations go to a person. Every paid plan includes human handoff, manual review and booking features.

Both say they hand off to a person and stay inside the knowledge scope. The real difference only shows in your own conversations, which is why there is a same-question test further down.

Automatic comment replies and comment-to-DM

FRIDAI Social is a separate comment product that supports automatic comment replies, comment-to-DM and social patrol on Instagram, Facebook, Threads and other platforms. Comment-to-DM requires the same account to also have a FRIDAI Chat plan.

On the Super 8 side, the FAQ on the official InsightArk page mentions a chatbot template for Instagram comment-to-DM, and the English pricing page lists Facebook/Instagram comment auto-reply among the contents of the Standard plan. The Chinese pricing page does not itemise this point. If comments are your main entry point, confirm during the trial that the plan you choose includes it.

Team collaboration

The Chinese InsightArk pricing page states the team member limit for each plan: 1 on the Free plan, 3 on Starter, 10 on Standard and 30 on Enterprise, with permission management split into basic, advanced and enterprise-grade.

FRIDAI's higher plans include workspace sharing, and every paid plan can notify the team when a person is needed. A team working in shifts should test assignment and permissions with its real rota.

Integrations

The official InsightArk page lists 91APP, CYBERBIZ, Shopify, SHOPLINE and GA4, and offers an Open API and webhooks. The pricing page places e-commerce platform integration at the Standard plan and above, and full API and CRM/CDP integration support in the Enterprise plan.

For FRIDAI's external integrations, confirm with the team against your actual needs. FRIDAI Editorial does not tick the box for an integration that has not been confirmed.

Super 8 pricing: the numbers the vendor publishes

Anyone searching for "Super 8 pricing" is in luck: the Chinese InsightArk pricing page publishes amounts in New Taiwan dollars. Below is the InsightArk plan content we read today; the vendor's page is the authority on actual amounts and inclusions. Plan names here are our translations of the Chinese names.

StarterNT$2,50010,0003
StandardNT$8,500100,00010
EnterpriseCustom quote1,000,000 and above30

A few details to read alongside the table:

  • The Free plan includes the LINE channel only; Starter adds Messenger, Instagram and Live Chat; WhatsApp and e-commerce platform integration come with Standard.
  • Yearly prices are listed as NT$25,000 for Starter and NT$85,000 for Standard.
  • Standard is marked as having a 14-day free trial, and the official FAQ states that the trial does not require a payment method up front.
  • Add-on modules such as game modules, coupon management, invoice integration, notification messages and ChatPay are, the vendor states, quoted according to actual needs.
  • Paid plans come with monthly AI points, and you can buy more when they run out.
  • The English pricing page is priced in US dollars, and the amounts are not a direct conversion of the NT$ page. Go by the page you actually check out on.

For MessageHero pricing, the only page we could read today was the English pricing page. It lists a free plan; the Starter plan's customer service agent is US$28.9 a month; Pro and Enterprise require a quote. Plans have different limits on people served per day and the amount of knowledge that can be imported, and WhatsApp carries additional fees. Go by what the official page says at the time.

On the FRIDAI side, Chat and Social have three public monthly prices, US$70, US$160 and US$300, corresponding to 500, 2,000 and 5,000 AI replies a month, with each plan covering one platform account. There is also a US$1 30-day trial, and you can pay in New Taiwan dollars.

When the units differ, do not compare starting prices. For how the billing units differ, see how AI customer service pricing works. If you need InsightArk plus MessageHero, each product has its own plan and the two have to be added together. The LINE Official Account's own message fee is a separate bill that applies on both sides; start with the LINE Official Account pricing guide.

SUPER 8 Studio states that it serves more than 1,000 brands and teams. That is the vendor's own statement, and we pass it on as written. Judging by the plan design, InsightArk runs all the way from free to an enterprise plan for a million friends, which is a very wide range of scale.

FRIDAI's plans are three tiers by AI reply volume, starting at 500 a month. If your need is for AI to pick up conversations properly and lead comments into DMs, not to run a broadcast list of tens of thousands, that starting point is closer.

Same-question test checklist: one set of questions for both

Both offer self-serve trials, which is good news: you can test without waiting for a salesperson. Have the person who will really maintain the system do the driving. You can copy the list below as it is.

Test questions (identical for both vendors)
1. Brand content: one price list, opening hours, and return and exchange rules
2. Scenario A: a customer asks the price on LINE, then asks whether offers can be combined
3. Scenario B: a customer comments "interested" on an IG post and should be led to a DM
4. Scenario C: a customer asks for a person and has already left a phone number
5. Scenario D: a customer asks something the content does not cover
6. Scenario E: change one number in the price list and ask again
7. Cost: work out a normal month and a peak-season month from my friend count and monthly message volume
What to recordHow to judgeWhy it matters
Correct answerFollows your content; does not improvise what is not thereA wrong answer does more damage than no answer
Follow-up qualityAsks only for the missing itemRe-asking makes customers leave
Human handoffThe human can see the history and the reasonA broken handoff wastes the whole reply
Cost of a changeHow long a non-engineer takes to change the content onceContent changes every month

If marketing is your priority, add two more questions: apply one tag automatically by source, and send one segmented broadcast to that tag. Do both in an InsightArk trial account.

Three things that often get overlooked

Assuming Super 8 is one product

It is now several products, each with its own plans. Before you enquire or start a trial, be clear whether you want the social CRM or the AI agent, so you do not receive a quote that does not match.

Looking at the monthly fee but not the allowances

Friend limits, bot counts, journey counts, people served per day and AI replies each grow differently in peak season. Recalculate with your peak-season numbers.

Not actually testing the comment step

Many service businesses get their customers from post comments. During the trial, really leave a comment and watch how the system replies and how it brings the person into a DM. The ticks in a feature table will not answer your customers for you.

FAQ

How much does Super 8 cost?

According to SUPER 8 Studio's official Chinese pricing page, InsightArk has a free plan, the Starter plan is NT$2,500 a month and the Standard plan is NT$8,500 a month, while the Enterprise plan and add-on modules require a quote. MessageHero has its own separate plans, and the official page is the authority on actual amounts.

What is the difference between InsightArk and MessageHero on no8.io?

According to the vendor, InsightArk is the social CRM, covering conversation management, tags, segmented broadcasts and automated journeys; MessageHero is the AI agent product, answering customers automatically from a knowledge base. They are separate product lines with separate plans.

Which is cheaper, FRIDAI or Super 8?

The starting price alone cannot answer that. FRIDAI bills by AI replies and number of accounts; Super 8 bills by friend count, feature allowances and AI points, and may also involve add-on modules. Take your own friend count and monthly message volume and work it out on both sides.

I only want AI to answer DMs. Do I need to buy a social CRM?

Not necessarily. If the problem today is simply more messages than you can answer, getting replies and human handoff solid with AI customer service is the practical first step. Evaluate a social CRM once you need segmented broadcasts and automated journeys, so you do not pay for features nobody uses.

Does Super 8 have a free trial?

According to the official pricing page, InsightArk has a free plan, the Standard plan is marked as having a 14-day free trial, and the FAQ states that the trial does not require a payment method up front. Trial terms may change, so read the official page again before applying.

Why does this article not give Super 8 a review score?

Reviews vary by industry, team and how the product is used, and FRIDAI Editorial has not used Super 8's admin console hands-on. This article only organises official public content and provides a same-question test checklist so that you reach your own conclusion from your own conversations.

How FRIDAI can help

If what you are stuck on right now is more LINE, IG and FB DMs and comments than you can answer, write one complete AI rule in FRIDAI Chat and run it through the test questions above. If what you want is friend tags and segmented broadcasts, we will point you to an InsightArk trial first. Choosing the right tool matters more than choosing us.
