If you came here looking for an "Omnichat review": this article does not cite any user reviews. In our view the most useful review is the result you get by testing the same conversation yourself. The method is further down.
What each product is built for
FRIDAI is a Taiwan-based AI customer service and social automation service, split into three products. FRIDAI Chat handles DM customer service and human handoff, FRIDAI Social handles automatic comment replies and comment-to-DM, and FRIDAI Post handles automated posting. You set it up by writing brand knowledge and rules in natural language.
Omnichat officially positions itself as an omnichannel AI customer experience platform built for enterprises, and also calls itself an omnichannel AI conversational commerce platform. Its product menu covers AI, marketing automation, offers and membership, Social CDP, OMO sales and omnichannel customer service. It is a platform centred on conversations that drive sales.
Feature comparison
| Area | FRIDAI | Omnichat |
|---|---|---|
| Positioning | AI customer service and social automation | Omnichannel AI conversational commerce |
| DM channels | LINE Official Account, Messenger, IG, Threads, WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, website chat | LINE Official Account, Messenger, IG, TikTok, WeChat, WhatsApp, website chat |
| AI setup | Natural-language rules plus a knowledge notebook | AI Agents, trained on documents, FAQs and brand tone |
| Comment automation | Social: comment replies and comment-to-DM | Social engagement: FB and IG comment reply plus DM |
| Broadcasts and membership | Not a product focus | Broadcasts, segment tags, coupons, points, membership modules |
| E-commerce and stores | Not a product focus | SHOPLINE, CYBERBIZ, Shopify integrations and OMO |
| Automated posting | FRIDAI Post | Not listed in the official product menu |
| Human handoff | Included in every paid plan | Case assignment, takeover and handling status |
"Not a product focus" means FRIDAI's public product pages do not present it as a headline feature. If you need this kind of capability, you should not assume FRIDAI can do it.
Channels: both have LINE, each has its own extras
Both support LINE Official Account, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp and website chat. The difference is at the edges. Omnichat's official channel list adds WeChat Official Account and TikTok. FRIDAI adds DMs on Threads, Telegram and Discord, plus comment handling on Threads, YouTube and LinkedIn.
For a Taiwan brand with customers in Hong Kong, Macau or mainland China, WeChat is the deciding factor. If your social centre of gravity is Threads, look at FRIDAI. Count how many conversations each channel brought in last month before you read this section.
AI: the rules approach and the assistant approach
FRIDAI has you write rules in natural language: brand data, what situation triggers what, what to do first and next, what must not be answered, and when to hand off to a person. It suits a business that wants answers to follow its own SOP. The existing rule-writing guide shows how.
Omnichat's official AI Agents page lists six assistants: an AI marketing assistant, AI customer service assistant, AI shopping assistant, AI customer engagement assistant, AI booking assistant and a customisable AI assistant, and says they can be trained on your own documents, FAQ sets and brand tone. The shopping assistant can recommend products in the conversation and send a purchase link, which is practical for an e-commerce brand with a product catalogue. There is also Omni AI Message Flow, where you enter a marketing goal and the AI generates the conversation flow, copy and assets.
That page does not say which plan includes the AI features or whether they are billed separately. Ask about both when you request a quote.
Comment and DM automation
Both can do "comment → public reply → DM".
At FRIDAI, Social handles automatic comment replies and comment-to-DM. One thing to note: comment-to-DM requires the same account to also have a FRIDAI Chat plan, because the DM part is handled by Chat.
Omnichat's official help documentation describes a "social engagement" feature that lets you set comment conditions on Facebook and Instagram posts, including any comment, contains any keyword, contains all keywords, and exact match, and then choose a comment reply or a DM reply. The documentation also notes several practical details: keywords are sensitive to letter case and to full-width versus half-width characters; when several replies are set for one condition, one is sent at random; Instagram live comments and story mentions support DM replies only; and scheduled posts are not currently supported.
The difference is not whether the feature exists. It is who answers once the DM starts: a keyword card, a flow bot, or an AI answering by rule. You have to test that with your own conversations.
Broadcasts, membership and e-commerce integration
This is Omnichat's home ground, and we will say so plainly.
Omnichat's official broadcast page states that LINE Official Account, Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp can all send bulk messages, with lists filtered by segment tags, join time, last interaction time, checkout completion time, and bound store and store staff. It supports instant and scheduled broadcasts, with open, click and conversion reports. The product menu also lists cart remarketing, coupon management, interactive lucky-draw games, customer reward points, an invoice registration module and member relationship management.
On integrations, the connected-apps page in the official help documentation lists SHOPLINE, CYBERBIZ, Shopify, Salesforce, Insider and Raccoon AI. The website has further integration pages for HubSpot, SurveyCake, Emarsys and the Meta Conversions API. OMO features include ordering inside a LINE conversation, salesperson binding, multi-branch management and store staff shift management.
FRIDAI's public product pages focus on customer service, bookings, customer records and contact tags. They do not feature coupons, points, cart remarketing or binding customers to store staff. If your revenue mainly comes from repeat purchases driven by segmented LINE broadcasts, evaluate Omnichat first, or the similar Crescendo Lab.
Human handoff
Every FRIDAI paid plan includes human handoff and manual review. When a person is needed, the team can be alerted through LINE, and while a human is handling the conversation the AI steps aside and stays quiet.
Omnichat's official customer service page says it supports team case assignment and case takeover, with automatic assignment by division of work. The official help documentation says keyword auto-replies trigger by default only when the conversation status is "pending", "bot" or "closed"; a status of "in progress" means a human is already following up, and the auto-reply does not fire unless you tick an extra option. The website home page also says teams can step in without losing conversation context.
As for the conditions under which an AI assistant automatically hands a conversation to a person, the Omnichat pages we read do not explain how that is configured. Ask to see it done live in the demo.
How to compare the cost
| Item | FRIDAI | Omnichat |
|---|---|---|
| Public price | Yes, from US$70/ | Not published; request a quote |
| Plan names | Launch, Essential, Enterprise | Four plans (see below) |
| Billing unit | AI replies per account | Valid contacts and number of agents |
| Billing cycle | Monthly or yearly | Officially annual subscription only |
| Trial | US$1 for 30 days | Officially a 14-day free trial |
| Billed separately | Platform message fees such as LINE's | LINE API and WhatsApp message fees are not included |
FRIDAI Chat and Social are publicly priced at Launch US$70, Essential US$160 and Enterprise US$300 a month, with 500, 2,000 and 5,000 AI replies respectively. Each plan covers one platform account. Yearly billing includes two months free, and you can pay by US-dollar credit card or in New Taiwan dollars through PAYUNi or JKOPAY. Brands with several accounts need to multiply by the number of accounts.
Omnichat's four plans appear on its Taiwan pricing page as 高效
If you are searching for "Omnichat pricing", note this: the official pricing page shows no amounts at all. It states that the actual fee depends on the number of valid contacts and the number of agents, that plan fees do not include LINE API or WhatsApp Business API message fees, that extra agent accounts can be purchased, and that payment is by bank transfer, credit card or cheque. We will not guess a number on its behalf, and any quotes circulating online should be checked against the vendor's own reply.
The billing units differ, so comparing monthly fees directly is meaningless. A brand with many contacts who each say one or two lines, and a brand with few contacts who each ask a lot, are suited to exactly opposite billing models. See how AI customer service pricing works.
One test checklist, run once on each
Both have a trial. Take recent real conversations, remove the personal data, and follow the steps below. The result will be more accurate than any comparison article, this one included.
Step 1: prepare the same material
Prepare one price or product list, your opening hours, your return or cancellation rules, and five customer messages in their own words. Load the same content into both. Do not write extra explanation for one side.
Step 2: run the same conversations
Scenario 1: someone comments "interested" on a post; expect a public reply and a DM
Scenario 2: on LINE, "how much is this?" without saying which item
Scenario 3: phone number given in one message, then a request to change the booking time
Scenario 4: a question your material does not cover
Scenario 5: a request for a discount beyond the public offer
Scenario 6: "I want to talk to a person"
Scenario 7: after a human has replied, the customer asks a simple question the next dayStep 3: score on the same sheet
| What to record | How to judge | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Correct answer | Does it match your material? | A wrong answer is worse than no answer |
| Behaviour when unsure | Does it admit it and hand off, not invent? | Decides whether you dare let go |
| Repeated questions | Does it re-ask for a phone or date already given? | Where customers lose patience fastest |
| Handoff quality | Can the human see the history and the reason? | Affects how fast they pick it up |
| Cost of a change | How long to change one price, and who can? | It happens every week after launch |
| Full monthly cost | Plan plus accounts or seats plus message fees | Run a peak-season month too |
Step 4: add one question from your home ground
A service business should add a booking reschedule. An e-commerce brand should add "send a coupon to everyone who bought last month, and show me the conversions". Whichever side cannot do your home-ground question goes to the back of the queue, however well it scores elsewhere.
When FRIDAI is not the right fit
It is quicker if we say it ourselves. You need coupons, points, lucky-draw games and cart remarketing; you have several stores and want customers bound to store staff; you need to sync with member data in SHOPLINE, CYBERBIZ or Shopify; you need WeChat. If any one of these is a core requirement, go and see Omnichat's demo first.
In the other direction, if you do not need those modules, have no dedicated marketer, do not want to sign an annual contract first, and only want to hand the DMs you answer over and over to an AI that passes to a person when it should, then an enterprise-grade platform may be more than you can use right now.
FAQ
Roughly how much does Omnichat cost?
The official pricing page publishes no amounts; all four plans require a quote from sales. Omnichat says the fee depends on the number of valid contacts and the number of agents, that only annual subscriptions are currently offered, and that LINE and WhatsApp message fees are not included.
Is FRIDAI cheaper than Omnichat?
They cannot be compared directly. FRIDAI's public price starts at US$70 a month per account, tiered by AI replies; Omnichat does not publish prices and quotes by contacts and agents. Take the same month of conversation volume and have each side work out the full cost.
Is Omnichat well reviewed? Is it worth using?
This article does not cite user reviews. What the official documentation does show is a very complete set of modules for LINE broadcasts, membership, coupons and e-commerce integration. Whether it is worth it depends on how many of those modules you will use, so test with a trial account.
Can a small shop use Omnichat?
You can apply for a trial; Omnichat says it offers a 14-day free trial. But it currently offers annual subscriptions only, so before paying, confirm which features you will use within the year and the price tiers once your contacts grow.
I want an Omnichat alternative. Can FRIDAI replace it?
It depends on what you use it for. If the main use is DM customer service, comment replies and human handoff, you can test the same set of conversations in FRIDAI. If the main use is segmented LINE broadcasts, coupons and in-store membership, FRIDAI is not an equivalent replacement.
Can I use both at the same time?
Yes, but we do not recommend letting both handle DMs for the same account, because duplicate replies and missed messages become likely. If you really do run both, split them by account or channel, for example one for broadcasts and one for customer service, and confirm with both vendors first that they can coexist.
Do both support automatic DMs from IG comments?
Both do. FRIDAI requires the same account to have both a Social and a Chat plan; Omnichat's social engagement feature can reply to comments on FB and IG posts and send a DM. When a DM is allowed is still limited by Meta's platform rules.
How FRIDAI can help
If your daily problem is more LINE, IG and FB DMs than you can answer, not a broadcast list you cannot segment finely enough, start by connecting one account to FRIDAI Chat and run all seven scenarios above. For brands that need membership and e-commerce broadcasts, FRIDAI Editorial suggests applying for both trials and deciding with the same scoresheet.
