Two very different starting points

FRIDAI starts from the daily reality of a social-commerce business: a customer comments on Instagram, moves to DMs, adds a phone number, and a human confirms the booking at the end. Intercom starts from product support: a user hits a problem on the website or in the app, Fin answers from the help center and its procedures, takes actions where it can, and hands off to the support team when needed.

How is rule-writing different?

Both tools work best when you write the support job down as structure. FRIDAI rules spell out "if, then, otherwise, only when": brand data, trigger situations, handling order, boundaries and what counts as done.

Intercom's official docs split Fin's setup into knowledge sources, Guidance, Audiences and Procedures. When evaluating, check whether your team can convert its existing support SOPs into those structures, and how you test after each change.

How the pricing differs

FRIDAI's website lists Chat and Social plans from US$70 per month. If you need comments, DMs and content scheduling together, work out the cost from the product combination you actually need.

Intercom's official pricing page shows Essential from US$29 per full seat per month billed annually, with Fin billed separately per outcome. Official documentation updated in July 2026 lists most outcomes (resolution, procedure handoff, disqualification) at US$0.99 and qualification at US$9.99; chat / email, voice and special requirements carry their own pricing conditions.

So do not reduce this to "how much per month". With FRIDAI, the question is how many products and which plans you need. With Intercom, it is seats, outcome types, messaging channels and add-ons. Starting prices are a fine first glance, but what you will actually pay only comes out when you run your own volumes through the numbers.

Test both with the same two conversations

Social booking scenario

A customer asks about a service on IG, moves to DMs to give a date, has already left a phone number earlier, and finally asks for a human to confirm. Watch whether the system keeps the source, reuses the details it already has, and never pretends the booking is confirmed.

SaaS how-to scenario

A user asks on the website about an account feature that the knowledge base covers. Then they raise a billing exception and ask for a human. Watch whether the AI cites the correct version, hands off according to procedure, and carries the context across.

What to recordHow to score
Answer accuracy0: wrong; 1: partial; 2: complete with the right source
Flow accuracyDoes it only ask for the missing pieces and take the right branch?
Handoff qualityDid the human receive the history, the reason and the open items?
Setup costTime for a non-engineer to complete setup and make changes
Monthly costFull bill estimate for a normal month and a peak month

If the social scenario matters more to your business, weight that set higher; if you are a SaaS company, do the reverse. Never let a vendor's demo choose the questions the vendor is strongest at.

Which one is right for you?

FRIDAI suits Taiwan brands that want to start with one real piece of support work on LINE, IG or FB and plan social comments and content operations together. Intercom suits companies that already handle high volumes of product support on the website or in the app, with a knowledge base, team seats and a formal support process.

If your company has both kinds of entry points, pick the primary system by conversation volume and revenue importance first, then evaluate how the other channel type feeds in. Keep one knowledge base in the primary system so every version stays consistent.

Summary: choose by where your customers arrive

FRIDAI

A quick note from FRIDAI

The difference between Intercom and me is the front door your customers use. I pick up DMs and comments on LINE, IG and FB and plan content scheduling alongside them; Intercom Fin handles product support and tickets on the website, in the app and by email. Look at where your conversation volume and revenue come from, then choose the primary system.

Use these for a quick check:

  • LINE, IG and FB are your main support and sales entry points → try FRIDAI first.
  • Support happens mainly on the website, in the app and by email, with a help center and seat-based licensing → try Intercom first.
  • Look beyond starting prices: FRIDAI depends on product combination and plan, Intercom on seats, Fin outcomes and channels.
  • Test both with the same conversations, weighted for your business.

Pick your most common social support conversation and write it up as one complete rule to test. I'm happy to write it with you.

FAQ

Which is cheaper, FRIDAI or Intercom?

Run your own monthly volumes through both and the answer is clear. FRIDAI depends on your product combination and plan; Intercom depends on full seats, Fin outcomes, channels and add-ons.

Can Intercom Fin work on its own with another helpdesk?

Intercom says yes, billed per outcome and subject to conditions such as a minimum usage commitment. Before buying, confirm which helpdesks are currently supported and the contract details.

Can I choose Intercom if LINE is my main channel?

Ask for a live demonstration of LINE intake, conversation history, human handoff and billing first. If LINE is your core channel, do not decide on brand name alone.

How FRIDAI can help

If your customers mostly find you through LINE, IG or FB, start by building one complete support rule in FRIDAI Chat first, then running the same conversation through an Intercom trial account. You will forget the leaderboards. How your customers actually ask, and how the system actually picks up, is the answer you are really paying for.
